Everyone is so awesome. I had an emotional visit today. It was whether or not I was a candidate for a particular procedure. I wasn't. There is just so much wrong with my back. I knew that I wouldn't be but I was just hoping. I was so disappointed that I couldn't talk anymore. The tears were right there. KC Pain and Dr. Ackerman have done so much for me. I will totally recommend them.

Can't say enough about the care I get from everyone who works at KC pain center! Kim is amazing, Anna has been my caregiver for many years. Can't thank her enough for her care and compassion. She is an amazing human being.

S. Frank, FNP was great as was the health care worker who came in with questions before. Nice ladies, pleasant, professional. Always have had a good experience there.

Anna is the most caring NP I’ve ever had. She is very sympathetic to your needs and listens to everything you say for your best treatment. I highly recommend KC Pain and the doctors and nurse practitioners! They are the very best!!

I saw Sherry Frank and she is an excellent nurse practitioner. She listened carefully and explained everything to me very thoroughly. I didn’t feel rushed. I would highly recommend her.

The office is efficient & sign in is great. I see Dr. Ackerman. He listens & then asks question. He gave me choices. It was a collaboration to decide how to treat my pain. I realize that can’t always happen but it sure with my confidence in how to treat the issue. I’ve recommended this Dr. & location to friends & family.

I have been coming here since 2007. The staff is always very helpful and pleasant!! Dr. Johnson and nurse practitioner Anna M. are Amazing!! It makes a huge difference, especially when u have chronic pain. They listen to you and your needs!! Last year (2022) Dr. Johnson referred me to a spinal surgeon at KU Med and found that I had a broken hip!!! Thank again for being the Best!!! 👏 👍 😊

The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Burfeind takes time to listen answer questions thoroughly. She worked with me to help me make informed decisions for my health.
